Internal Deworming

An untreated parasitic infection may be rather dangerous to your pet's health:

Internal parasites are organisms that lodge, feed and grow inside the body of a host - in this case, the pets - contributing to a deterioration of health. In some cases the problems caused can endanger the life of the host. Among the most common internal parasites are the nematodes (roundworms), the cestodes (tapeworms) and protozoa (giardia, coccidia) – and we can treat all of them with very effective antiparasitics.

External parasites are those who live or invade the skin or fur of your dog or cat. And they not only cause irritation but also some diseases. Among the most common external parasites are the fleas and ticks but also the flies, mosquitoes, sandflies, mites or lice that can infest our pets.

Some of these parasites transmit serious diseases, such as leishmaniasis, heartworm or tick fever, thankfully the protection against these diseases is increasingly effective. In addition, some parasites can also be transmitted to humans, causing them various disorders/problems.

The parasites (internal and external) exist in Portugal all year, so your pet to be always protected should be dewormed (according to the indications, efficacy and duration of action of each product). Products are not all equal and the parasitological risk to which animals are subject neither. Thus, each animal must have its full Antiparasitic Protection Program.
