Exercice

Regular exercise is essential to keep your pet physically and emotionally healthy!

In case of cats, playing is the best way to do exercise. By chasing balls or toys that move, they develop physically and stay in shape, thus avoiding excess weight.

Give few toys at a time, but give new toys to your cat, because they get bored very easily. And do not forget, every day give a little bit of your time and play with your pet!

In case of dogs, playing and riding the leash at least twice day are the best techniques to exercise your pet.

Puppies love to play and this opportunity should be taken to educate without difficulty through small exercises that the animal performs with pleasure. By definition, playing is learning appropriate attitudes and behaviors for life. It is also a privileged mean to educate the animal and it’s a pleasure shared by both.

Dogs love to nibble, chew, or even bite. If the dog bites your hands you must stop him/her. To do this, he/she should have its own toys, but bear in mind that they must have an appropriate size for the animal does not eat them.

When leash-walking never hit the dog with it: the walk should be synonymous with joy, not punishment. Such as hygiene, the sooner the dog get used to the leash the easier he/she will learn.

Get used your pet to the collar and then start short leash-walks inside the house with him several times a day and for short periods of time. Then, he/she must learn to walk on a leash. First seat your pet on your left (for personal comfort you can choose the right, as long is always the same side), then give the order to move forward and begin walking.

Hold the leash and walk with your usual cadence: the dog must walk beside you. Every time you stop order your pet to sit an give him/her a treat. If the animal pulls the leash say "No" while giving a sharp pull on it.Hold the leash and walk with your usual cadence: the dog must walk beside you.
